Ghanaian singer King Promise has opened up about how long it took before he finally made music with rap legend Sarkodie.

Speaking in a recent interview with UK broadcaster Adesope Olajide, King Promise revealed that although he had known Sarkodie for years and shared a genuine connection with him, it surprisingly took about five years before they finally hit the studio together.

When the collaboration eventually happened, however, King Promise described the experience as magical, saying the outcome was nothing short of “fire.”

Beyond that revelation, King Promise also touched on what keeps him motivated as an artist. He explained that his passion for music has always been the driving force behind his career, alongside the desire to make money, take care of his family, and live up to his expensive taste.

The “Terminator” hitmaker, who has become one of Ghana’s leading international voices, continues to prove his consistency both on stage and in the studio. His comments also highlight the mutual respect between him and Sarkodie, two of Ghana’s most celebrated acts.
