Npontu Technologies has received two International Standard Organisation (ISO) certifications.

The company was awarded the two certifications, ISO 27001:2013 (ISMS) and ISO 22301:2019 (BCM) after two years of hard work and rigorous auditing from ExcelNovate.

A release issued by the company highlighted its commitment to delivering exceptional technology solutions to its customers.

The release said these certifications were therefore a testament to its dedication to robust information security practices and the ability to sustain critical business operations even during disruptive times.

Commenting on the certifications, the Chief Executive Officer of Npontu Technologies, Dr Stephane Nwolley, said the ISO journey began with the company’s recognition of the importance of implementing risk assessments, security controls, and incident management procedures.

This, he said would help the company meet customer and regulatory requirements.

While congratulating the staff of the company for putting in their very best to make attaining the certification possible, the CEO also charged them to make the tenets of the ISO certification a life style.

He said the impact of the certification should at all-times be seen, felt and appreciated.

On her part, the Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, Ms Deborah Asmah of Npontu said attaining certification was not an easy feat.

“It has taken 2 years of hard work and a rigorous audit from ExcelNovate, checking our conformity to the standards.

“However, the commitment has paid off, as we receive the award of certification from MSECB,” she stated.

Ms Asmah added that going through certification had taught the company a lot about its processes and procedures, and also helped in identifying areas for improvement.

“Npontu now understands that ISO certification is more than just ticking some checkboxes – it’s about instilling a culture of awareness, security, and responsibility towards their customers.

“As a technology company, we know we must maintain the highest of standards, and these certifications are just the beginning of our journey towards excellence,” she stated.

Npontu specialises in the provision of AI & Big data solutions, Software and mobile app deployment, SMS, USSD and Technology consulting. Obtaining these certifications shows the company’s dedication to ensuring their services to customers meet international standards.
