Ghana’s year-on-year Producer Price Inflation (PPI) for November 2025 stood at 1.3 per cent, indicating that the average ex-factory prices of goods and services increased by 1.3 per cent between November 2024 and November 2025.
Data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) show that the figure represents a marginal decline of 0.1 percentage point from the October 2025 producer inflation rate.
On a month-on-month basis, producer prices fell by 1.9 per cent between October and November 2025.
Sectoral data revealed mixed trends. The Mining and Quarrying sector, which carries the largest weight of 43.7 per cent in the PPI basket, recorded an increase in producer inflation from 0.7 per cent in October to 2.3 per cent in November, representing a 1.6 percentage point rise.
In contrast, the manufacturing sector, which accounts for 35 per cent of the PPI weight, saw producer inflation decline sharply from 2.5 per cent in October to 0.5 per cent in November, a drop of 2.0 percentage points.
Producer inflation in the transport and storage sector continued its downward trend, falling from -8.8 per cent in October to -9.0 per cent in November 2025.
In its recommendations, the GSS encouraged households and consumers to adopt intentional spending habits by comparing prices, prioritising value for money, and choosing suppliers that offer transparent and competitive pricing. It also advised consumers to stay informed about inflation trends to make smarter purchasing decisions.
For businesses, the Service recommended reducing operational costs and improving efficiency by streamlining processes, minimising waste, and boosting productivity. It further urged firms to reinvest cost savings into upgrading equipment, enhancing workforce skills, and strengthening supply chains to support sustainable growth.
The GSS also called on the government to prioritise high-impact investments by directing incentives toward firms that expand production capacity, adopt advanced technologies, and generate employment opportunities.
