The Electoral Commission (EC) EC’s Verification Machine at the Berlin Top Temporal Structure Two Polling Station at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality experienced technical hitch, and delayed the start of voting.

However, the EC officials were able to resolve the hitch for voting to commence around 0750 hours, instead of 0700hours.

Due to the problem, many of the voters who had arrived to cast their ballot left the centre and told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that they would return later to vote.

There was heavy security presence as well as agents of the various political parties at the centre, as the EC worked on the faulty verification machine, but the atmosphere was peaceful then.

Mr Elizah Mensah, the Presiding Officer told the GNA that the center had 566 registered voters.
