    True North Media has announced the acquisition of Maverick Media Monitoring, a move that is expected to enhance True North Media’s capabilities in media monitoring, media measurement, and analytics.

    It has also appointed Akinwale Adams to lead the group’s operations under the new partnership. Adams brings with him, a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the media monitoring industry.

    Adams will oversee the integration of Maverick Media Monitoring into True North’s operations, ensuring a seamless transition and continued excellence in service delivery.

    The acquisition would allow True North Media to expand its service offerings, providing clients with more comprehensive media tracking, insights, and analytics.

    Maverick Media Monitoring’s Media Plus, a real-time media monitoring and SaaS platform and reach with 450+ Television and Radio stations, measuring and analyzing advertising spend and exposure in 16+ African markets will now operate under the True North Media brand, potentially offering improved resources and technologies to our combined client base.

    The markets include Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Guinea Conakry, Congo Brazzaville, Congo DRC, Uganda, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cameroun, and Gambia,

    This strategic acquisition and the planned post-acquisition expansion reflect True North Media’s commitment to growth and innovation in the media industry.

    Integrating Maverick Media Monitoring’s services takes True North’s coverage to 960+ channels across 21 African countries, with Over 400 of those channels in Nigeria. True North Media’s market position and presence in Nigeria now provides clients with more robust solutions for real-time media tracking, advertising expenditure management, and inventory analysis.

    This acquisition allows us to expand our service offerings and reach, providing our clients with even more comprehensive media monitoring solutions.
