Ghanaian singer and songwriter X Lor has officially released his highly anticipated debut EP, ‘Tornado,’ a seven-track project that marks a defining moment in his career while introducing listeners to his self-created music genre, ABL (Angels Beyond Limitations).

Released on Friday, July 10, across major streaming platforms, the EP reflects years of artistic growth, experimentation and self-discovery. Through its seven tracks, Tornado explores various facets of love, including devotion, forgiveness, loyalty, vulnerability, healing, second chances and lasting commitment.

According to X Lor, the project represents both his personal journey and the evolution of his musical identity.

The opening track, ‘I Gotchu,’ encourages listeners to embrace love wholeheartedly despite uncertainty, promoting trust, vulnerability and emotional openness.

Other songs continue that narrative in different ways. ‘Tornado’ celebrates romance, admiration and the beauty of melanin, while ‘By 7’ explores the determination to preserve love through difficult times. ‘They Nuh Fi Know’ focuses on intimacy and the importance of privacy in relationships, and ‘On My Mind’ highlights unwavering loyalty and deep emotional connection.

The emotional tone shifts with ‘Go Away,’ where the artist reflects on the difficult decision to walk away from a relationship for personal well-being. The EP concludes with ‘Till the End,’ a song centred on enduring love, passion and commitment.

X Lor describes Tornado as more than a collection of songs, saying it captures the many emotions, experiences and perspectives that define love, while crediting his faith and spiritual inspiration for bringing the project to life.

He also acknowledged the contributions of his team, particularly Executive Manager Richard Boahene, for helping transform his vision into reality.

Beyond the music, the EP serves as the official introduction to ABL (Angels Beyond Limitations), a genre developed by X Lor to reflect a sound that transcends traditional musical boundaries. The style blends elements of Afrobeats, Highlife, R&B, Soul, Gospel and contemporary African music while promoting authenticity, spirituality, emotional honesty and creative freedom.

Since launching his professional career in 2018, X Lor has steadily established himself as one of Ghana’s promising independent artists. His single ‘By 7’ has surpassed 100,000 streams across digital platforms, and he has written songs for artists including Mya Sima, Naja and Whitnee Dee.

He has also contributed songwriting, vocal arrangements and vocal production to projects by Ghanaian musicians Guru and Akan, while sharing performance stages with KiDi, Mr Drew and Coco Vanilla.

Away from music, X Lor is also a technology professional and a graduate of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, where he earned a degree in Information Technology with a specialisation in Database Administration.

Featuring production by Beat Vampire (Craze), Master Maison, Bamba Beats, Madtunes, Jaemally and Trevor Beats, alongside mixing and mastering by Gigz Beat and PSM Beats, Tornado delivers a polished and emotionally engaging listening experience.

With the release of the EP, X Lor embarks on a new chapter in his career, presenting Tornado as both his most personal work to date and a bold introduction to the ABL movement—an artistic philosophy rooted in love, faith, healing, vulnerability and boundless creative expression.
