‘Goasomanhene’ passes on

A Royal of the Goaso Traditional Area in the Ahafo Region has confirmed the death of Nana Kwasi Bosompra I, the Paramount Chief of the Goaso Traditional Area.

Though the source could not give the specific date, he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Goaso on condition of anonymity that the late paramount chief died after a short illness. He was 58 years old.

As tradition demands, the source said the pre-burial funeral rite (Dotoyie) of the late chief would be announced later, saying mourners from all walks of life kept visiting the family house at Goaso to express their sympathies.

Checks indicate that the late Paramount Chief was enstooled in 2008, and he reigned 16 years.
