Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and performer Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., widely known as Akwaboah Jnr., has shared his thoughts on the current trends in Ghanaian music. In a heartfelt video, the award-winning artist expressed concerns about the fleeting nature of many contemporary hit songs. According to Akwaboah, while these tracks often gain quick popularity, they lose their appeal within a few months, leaving a gap in the music scene for enduring and soulful tunes.

Reflecting on this, Akwaboah revealed his mission to revive the essence of calm and beautiful music—a style that has long been cherished in Ghanaian culture. Inspired by his late father’s legacy, the talented musician has been working on releasing some of the timeless songs his father left behind, reimagining them for today’s audience.

Among these is If You Love Me, a heartfelt and soulful piece that will serve as the first release in this new chapter of his career. Fans can mark their calendars as If You Love Me is set to drop on 9th January 2024. Akwaboah promises that this song will bring back the magic of genuine artistry, combining meaningful lyrics with soothing melodies to create an unforgettable listening experience.

With this release, Akwaboah not only honors his father’s legacy but also seeks to inspire a return to timeless music that resonates deeply with listeners.

Stay tuned for If You Love Me on 9th January 2024, and prepare to be captivated by the beauty of soulful Ghanaian music at its finest.
