Reverend Dr Daniel Gbande, Principal, New Life College, speaking during the graduation, urged the graduands to serve the country with distinction as they had been well equipped for the world of work. He told them that “Today, you stand at the threshold of a world that needs your talents more than ever. Whether you are bringing life into the world or creating groundbreaking technologies, the responsibility is yours to shape the future.”

He said, “As an institution, we have strived to provide our students with not just academic rigor but also with the values of integrity, service, and leadership that will guide them as they step into the world.” Professor Seidu Al-Hassan, Vice-Chancellor, UDS, whose speech was read on his behalf, urged the graduands and students to be guided by a deep sense of integrity and allow honesty and accountability to be their watchdog.

He urged them to identify the gaps in society and fill them with innovative solutions emphasizing that “Our communities need educators, entrepreneurs, engineers and scientists, who will create opportunities and inspire progress.” Some of the graduating students, who distinguished themselves whilst in school, were given awards. New Life College was established in 2004 by Reverend Joshua and Catherine Siu of Worldwide Evangelization for Christ Mission International in partnership with the Evangelical Church of Ghana.
