A remarkable incident has occurred at KpareKpare, a farming community in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, where a mother’s swift action and faith saved her five-year-old boy from an owl attack.

Madam Sena Gamade, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that her son had been experiencing mysterious ailments, including swollen faces for over two years, despite trying various medications. She said after trying various medications with no improvement, her son suffered a further setback when he dislocated his thigh and desperate for a solution, she sought the help of a traditional bonesetter at Okuma-Akura, a community closer to KpareKpare.

However, it was not until someone directed her to Pastor Emmanuel Nyande of the Christ Mountain Power Ministry that she found hope. Madam Gamade said the pastor revealed that her son’s soul had been sold in a spiritual realm and took them through intense prayers, paving the way for a miraculous intervention.

She explained that the next day, while the son was answering nature’s call, an owl suddenly swooped down from a tree and grabbed him with its sharp talons.

“In a split second, I gathered every ounce of courage and sprang into action, I grasped the owl, holding it back from my son as we struggled in a desperate bid for freedom, feeling a sudden surge of energy like an electric shock, I managed to wrestled with the owl, prevented it from flying away with my son, the commotion attracted nearby residents, who rushed to the scene and helped killed the owl,” Madam Gamade added.

She said the dead bird was brought to the chapel as a testament to the power of faith and a mother’s bravery, after which the owl was later burnt, symbolizing the defeat of evil and the triumph of good.
