Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, founder of Lighthouse Chapel International, met with Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele during his visit to the Solomon Islands for the Healing Jesus Campaign and Pastors’ Conference.

He was invited to speak at the Prime Minister’s Senior Staff Morning Devotion, a daily gathering attended by key government officials. A statement shared with the GNA said that the Prime Minister, who valued the importance of faith in leadership, warmly welcomed the Evangelist Heward-Mills on behalf of the Solomon Islands.

During their discussion, Evangelist Heward-Mills elaborated on the wisdom of God, emphasizing its necessity for leadership, victory, and nation-building. Quoting Proverbs 4:7, he said, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding.”

He explained that true wisdom, found in the Word of God, was the foundation for effective leadership and lasting success. Evangelist Heward-Mills said that a nation could be built on the wisdom of the Word of God rather than relying solely on human understanding.

He also emphasised that God’s wisdom was far superior to human wisdom and remained the key to strong governance and enduring leadership. Citing Psalm 119:98, he said, “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies.”

The statement said the meeting highlighted the importance of faith-based initiatives in strengthening communities and fostering hope. Prime Minister Manele expressed his support for extending the crusade to other islands, recognizing the role of faith in shaping the nation’s future.

The statement said Evangelist Heward-Mills would move to Congo Brazzaville for three crusades after the campaign in Solomon Islands.
