The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) Tema North District’s Committee on Ecumenical and Social Relations has extended its warmest wishes to Muslims within the district during the celebration of this year’s Eid Al-Fitr.
Reverend Emmanuel Obeng Ntow, the Tema North District Minister of the PCG, in a message copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), stated that the church joins its faith with the Muslims during the sacred period of fasting and waiting.
He said it was their prayer that the waiting and fasting would be blessed with answered prayer and renewal of hearts and minds to embrace the months ahead. “May this blessed month bring you closer to Allah, fill your hearts with love, peace, and compassion, and grant you strength and resilience in your spiritual devotions.”
He noted that, “We celebrate the rich diversity of our community and honour the meaningful contributions you make to our society. We aim to persist in missions as we consolidate the gains made in our heritage.”
Rev. Ntow called on the church and the Muslim communities to continue their peaceful coexistence and work harder as they serve their communities and God.
Meanwhile, congregations under the PCG Tema North District have presented packs of bottled water to the Community Seven Mosque, Community Nine Mosque, and the Bethlehem Mosque to support the Eid celebration.
