The 2025 Volta Trade and Investment Fair (VTIF), branded as Ghana’s first-ever 24-Hour Economy Fair, is set to take place from November 26 to December 8 at the Ho Sports Stadium. Now in its seventh edition, the fair is themed “Volta Rising: Building Global Partnerships for a Thriving 24-Hour Economy” and aims to showcase products, drive policy dialogue, promote innovation, and celebrate the region’s cultural heritage.
A major public-private collaboration between the Association of Ghana Industries and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, the event is expected to attract businesses, policymakers, investors, and visitors from Ghana and abroad. Key features of the fair include exhibitions centred on agribusiness, ICT, textiles, and manufacturing, as well as networking events and cultural performances designed to highlight the Volta Region’s economic potential.
Organisers say participants will benefit from continuous networking, business forums, and entertainment activities throughout the day and night, describing the fair as a unique platform linking entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors across various sectors.
Mr. Fred Avornyo, CEO of VTIF, told the Ghana News Agency that a major highlight of this year’s fair will be the Volta Investment Summit, which aims to attract new investments to the region. He emphasised that Volta’s strategic location—bordering Togo and close to Benin and Nigeria—positions it as a gateway for businesses seeking access to regional markets.
Volta Regional Minister James Gunu earlier announced that about 900 exhibitors from countries including Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Namibia, India, and Malaysia are expected to participate.
The two-week event will also host several high-level sessions, such as the Women in Entrepreneurship Summit, Youth in Entrepreneurship Summit, ICT and Innovation Forum, packaging technology workshops, as well as activities like the Ghana-India Business Dinner, Creative Arts Forum, Farmers Day celebrations, and District Days.
