Ghanaian Afrodancehall superstar Stonebwoy etched his name into the history books on Saturday, 15 August 2026, when he headlined his BHIM Festival at London’s iconic OVO Arena Wembley. In doing so, he became the first Ghanaian artist to top the bill at the prestigious 12,500-capacity venue.
The self-produced show marked a major international expansion for BHIM Festival, the annual celebration of Afrodancehall culture that Stonebwoy has built into one of Ghana’s biggest music events over more than a decade. Fans filled every level of the arena, creating an electric atmosphere that celebrated Ghanaian music on a global stage.
The crowd cheered loudly throughout the evening as Stonebwoy delivered hit after hit. Special guest performances added extra fire, including DopeNation’s energetic take on “Kakalika,” which had the arena bouncing. One fan summed up the vibe perfectly, describing the energy as “do am rough.”
Hip-life pioneer Reggie Rockstone was on hand to rally the Ghanaian contingent, leading chants of “GHANA STAND UP” and celebrating the massive turnout as a clear win for Ghanaian music abroad. Supporting acts on the night included Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Ofori Amponsah, Mr. P, Stylo G, Mista Silva, Jux and others, delivering a full showcase of African and Caribbean sounds.
The historic performance was followed by an afterparty at Eadn St Paul’s, allowing fans to continue the celebration late into the night.
Headlining OVO Arena Wembley is a significant milestone. The venue has hosted some of the world’s biggest stars, and Stonebwoy’s achievement underscores the growing global reach of Ghanaian music and the strength of the BHIM Nation diaspora community in the UK.
For Stonebwoy (born Livingstone Etse Satekla), the night represents years of consistent growth, strategic international touring, and dedication to elevating Afrodancehall. It also continues the expansion of BHIM Festival beyond Accra, where it has repeatedly sold out major venues including the Accra Sports Stadium.
Stonebwoy’s historic night at OVO Arena Wembley was more than a concert — it was a proud cultural statement. Ghanaian flags flew high, the energy stayed sky-high from start to finish, and a new chapter was written for African music in one of London’s most iconic arenas.
Congratulations to Stonebwoy, the entire BHIM Nation, and everyone who made this landmark event possible. Ghana to the world.
