The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of event proposals for the 2026 edition of “December in GH.”
In a statement issued on Friday, August 28, 2026, the Authority said event organisers, promoters, cultural innovators and experience creators now have until Monday, September 7, 2026, to submit their proposals.
The GTA said the extension is intended to give organisers additional time to submit concepts for consideration for inclusion in the official festive season programme.
According to the Authority, the “December in GH” 2026 calendar will run from December 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, featuring events celebrating Ghanaian culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage and tourism.
The initiative forms part of the Black Star Experience, a tourism and cultural platform aimed at showcasing Ghana’s creative and cultural offerings to local and international visitors.
The GTA said selected events will be featured in the official “December in GH” 2026 programme and promoted through its local and international platforms.
Event organisers interested in participating have been encouraged to submit their proposals through the designated application platform by September 7, 2026.
