The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has relieved his linguist, Kyeame Kofi Nti, of his duties following a resolution by the Asanteman Council at Manhyia Palace.

The decision came after multiple allegations were raised against him, including doubts about his royal lineage and his inability to properly perform the sacred invocation of Otumfuo Ntam Kɛseɛ.

He was further accused of mishandling and retaining invocations beyond traditional limits, as well as failing to report them appropriately—a serious breach of his role.

Concerns also emerged regarding the disputed enstoolment of Ayaase Dikro, which was highlighted by the Ayaasehene. After deliberations, the Council unanimously resolved to destool him.
