Ghana’s Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has highlighted the country’s plans to use the global platform of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to promote locally made products and boost exports.

Speaking at the launch of the “Made in Ghana” FIFA World Cup 2026 Expo, organised by Litina Travel Club, the Minister said the initiative is part of a strategic push to showcase Ghanaian goods and services on the international stage.

The Expo, scheduled for June 22–23 in Boston, will highlight Ghana’s creativity, innovation, and industrial strength to a global audience, with a focus on engaging the Ghanaian diaspora and attracting international investors.

According to her, the event will connect local entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and creatives to global markets while enhancing Ghana’s position in non-traditional exports. She added that the initiative aligns with government efforts to promote “Made in Ghana” products and stimulate economic growth through export expansion.

Chief Executive Officer of Litina Travel Club, Ernestina Abroquah, explained that Boston was selected due to its strong Ghanaian community, dynamic business environment, and global outlook, making it an ideal hub to promote Ghanaian brands.

She noted that beyond showcasing products, the Expo will create avenues for networking, partnerships, and investment, contributing to the growth and international visibility of local industries.
