The National Service Authority (NSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the timely payment of stipends, announcing that measures are underway to clear all outstanding allowances owed to legitimate service personnel by the end of this week.
In a press release dated February 17, 2026, the Authority acknowledged that allowances are essential for supporting personnel during their service year and emphasized that every individual deserves their rightful stipends without delay.
The NSA Management disclosed that the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) advanced funds last week for the disbursement of two months’ worth of allowances.
However, despite the availability of funds, a temporary delay has occurred due to a necessary administrative requirement. The Authority clarified that the delay is linked to an ongoing verification process conducted by Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS), which must be completed to ensure financial integrity and accuracy before payments are credited to personnel accounts.
Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh expressed appreciation for the patience and resilience demonstrated by National Service Personnel (NSP) during this period.
“Your service to the nation remains deeply valued and appreciated,” the statement noted, further assuring that all verified arrears will be cleared by the end of the current week.
