The Department of Business Administration and Agribusiness of Presbyterian University Ghana has held its annual tradition of Easter charity with a donation to Bless the Children International Orphanage in Kwahu Nkwatia, Eastern Region. The delegation donated essential items, including educational materials, food supplies, clothing, and detergents, to aid the children.

Mr Richard Kwame Nimako, Acting Head of the Department of Business Administration and Agribusiness, who led the delegation noted that the donation was not only a charitable gesture but also an opportunity to positively impact on the lives of vulnerable children, especially during Easter seasons.  “The gift is a symbol of hope and care, and I encourage you to strive to learn hard because education is a powerful tool that can transform your lives and empower you to achieve your dreams,” he told the children.

Mr Nimako urged them to respect their house parents and caregivers, fostering stronger relationships that ensure their safety and well-being. Madam Chrismould Yaa Asiedua, President of the Business Administration Students Association, noted that the donated items were contributed by the University’s alumni association, students, and staff.

She called for additional support from donors, stating that broader contributions would help extend kindness to more children in need during future initiatives. Expressing gratitude, Mrs Grace Oforiwa Yeboah, Director of Bless the Children International Orphanage, described the donation as impactful, saying it would go a long way in supporting the welfare of the children. She appealed to corporate institutions including universities to establish scholarship schemes to assist orphans in pursuing education at both secondary and tertiary levels.

Easter, a significant festival in the Christian calendar, commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion. In the spirit of this year’s Easter’s message of renewal and generosity, Presbyterian University Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting the less privileged and fostering educational opportunities for all.
