The highly anticipated MILO Under-13 Champions League returns from December 3 to 6, 2025, after a five-year hiatus, with 16 schools set to compete in the National Finals at the Paa Joe Stadium at KNUST in Kumasi.

The teams, drawn from the Zonal Playoffs across the country, will battle for honours in what has long been regarded as one of Ghana’s most impactful grassroots football tournaments.

Speaking at the launch, Madam Salomé Azevedo, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to youth development through sports.
“Nestlé Ghana believes in the transformative power of sports in shaping young lives. The goal of this tournament is to unearth talent and promote essential skills such as teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle,” she said.

She highlighted the competition’s legacy of producing national football stars, including Abdul Majeed Waris, Fatawu Issahaku and Kelvin Nkrumah.

Brand icon for the 2025 edition, former Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew, praised Nestlé Ghana and the Ghana Education Service for sustaining a platform that nurtures young talent.
“It is a privilege to partner with Stephen Appiah to guide and inspire the next generation of Ghanaian footballers,” he said, urging the young players to stay disciplined, work hard and enjoy the journey.

Minister of Sports and Recreation, Mr Kofi Iddie Adams, in a video message, commended Nestlé for its sustained investment in grassroots sports.
“The re-introduction of the Milo Champions League after five years shows the brand’s resilience. President John Dramani Mahama is committed to supporting grassroots football,” he noted.

Mr Myron Otoo, Manager of the MILO brand, revealed that the “Building Champions” programme has engaged nearly 100,000 children annually in previous editions, underscoring the widespread impact of the initiative.

The 2025 tournament is expected to revive excitement in youth football and provide a bigger platform for emerging stars to showcase their potential.
