The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially announced the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made the announcement at an Asanteman Council meeting at the Manhyia Palace on Monday, August 11th, 2025.
The one-week observance of the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025.
The 91-year-old Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who reigned for eight years, died on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III, at the age of 83, succeeded Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II in 2017.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III was the elder sister of Otumfuo Osei Tutu and daughter of Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, who passed away at age 109 on November 15, 2016, after reigning for 39 years as Asantehemaa.
