Delta Air Lines is celebrating 20 years of continuous operations in Ghana, marking two decades of air connectivity between Ghana, the United States, and the rest of the world.
The airline began operations in Ghana in 2006 as the first US carrier to offer nonstop flights between Accra and New York, helping strengthen travel, trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Over the past 20 years, Delta says it has transported nearly two million passengers on routes linking Ghana and the United States, while supporting business growth and people-to-people connections.
The airline described the milestone as a reflection of its long-term commitment to Africa and its role in connecting communities and opportunities across continents.
Beyond Ghana, Delta continues to expand its African operations through destinations including Lagos, Dakar, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Marrakech as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity between Africa and global markets.
