The Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly (LeKMA) has engaged the AMG Visionary Consulting Group Limited, a financial solution company, to take over the collection of revenue within the municipality.

This was made known during the launch of 24-hour revenue mobilisation and public-private partnership as part of efforts to improve efficiency, reduce leakages, and increase internally generated funds.

Mr Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah, the Ledzokuku Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said engaging private entities to handle the collection of public revenues was part of a broader strategy to support and sustain an economy that operates continuously, day and night.

Mr Otchwenmah noted that most business activities were lost during the night hours due to the absence of structured operations and explained that the move underscored instituting practical measures to facilitate the implementation of the government’s proposed 24-hour economy.

He said by extending operational hours and ensuring the availability of essential services, businesses could fully utilise nighttime opportunities, thereby increasing productivity, creating jobs, and stimulating continuous economic activity.

Mr Humphrey Abbey Quaye, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AMG Visionary Consulting Group Limited, said the initiative would enable the streamlining of the assembly’s revenue collection processes, create a database for a feedback mechanism between the assembly and the public, reduce administrative burdens and also ensure targeted responses to the expressed needs of the public for the betterment of the community.

Mr Quaye added that this partnership was poised to unlock new efficiencies and the full potential of the assembly’s local revenue streams by enhancing revenue collection through a 24-hour collection system, ensuring convenience and accessibility for the citizens.
