Kofi Adams has clarified that Alain Raivera and Kim Lars Bjorkegren will not receive monthly salaries for their roles with the Black Stars.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Minister Adams explained that while Kim Lars Bjorkegren will continue to earn his salary as coach of the Black Queens, he and Raivera will only be eligible for certain allowances, not monthly wages.
The two, along with three other staff members, were recently added to the Black Stars’ technical team to strengthen preparations ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Adams emphasized that the government is not paying salaries to these additional backroom staff, noting that they will receive the same services provided to all team members but no direct salary.
This arrangement allows the technical staff to contribute to the team’s success without creating long-term salary obligations.
