The Vice President departed Ghana on Sunday, May 24, as part of Ghana’s official delegation to the milestone national celebration organised by the government and people of Guyana.
Upon arrival, she was welcomed by Nii Amasah Namoale and members of Ghana’s diplomatic mission. She was also received by Charles Ramson alongside members of the Ghanaian community residing in Guyana.
The visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic cooperation and reinforcing the longstanding historical and cultural ties between Ghana and Guyana, both of which share connections rooted in African heritage.
The anniversary celebrations are expected to include official ceremonies, cultural exhibitions, and other state events showcasing Guyana’s history, achievements, and national development journey.
Ghana and Guyana have maintained strong bilateral relations over the years and continue to pursue partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
