The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has successfully rescued 26 victims of human trafficking in a coordinated raid carried out on Friday, October 17, 2025.

The operation, dubbed “Operation Quest,” was conducted by EOCO’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in collaboration with QNET, a multinational company known for its wellness and lifestyle products.

The early morning operation, which took place around 10:30am, led to the arrest of nine suspects, including two Ivorians and seven Ghanaians. The rescued individuals comprise 10 Ivorians and 16 Ghanaians, all of whom were allegedly trafficked under false promises of employment opportunities with QNET.

According to EOCO, the victims were lured with fraudulent job offers both within Ghana and abroad by individuals posing as QNET agents. The organisation clarified that these individuals had no legitimate ties to the company and were exploiting QNET’s reputation to carry out their illicit activities.

The suspects are currently in EOCO’s custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.

In a public advisory, EOCO urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any individuals or groups claiming to be recruitment agents for QNET. The office reminded the public that earlier this year, in July, EOCO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QNET to combat the use of the company’s name in human trafficking and related criminal activities.

“This operation underscores the importance of our partnership with QNET in tackling the growing issue of trafficking under the guise of employment,” said Faustina Lartey, Head of Public Affairs at EOCO.
