The Ghana Medical and Dental Council (GMDC) has inducted 627 newly trained Physician Assistants and Certified Registered Anaesthetists into the healthcare system as part of efforts to improve the distribution of medical personnel across the country.
At the induction ceremony, the Council’s Registrar, Divine Banyubala, urged the new professionals to maintain high standards of professionalism and strictly observe ethical guidelines, emphasizing the responsibility that comes with caring for human lives.
He noted that beyond clinical expertise, practitioners must demonstrate integrity and compassion, ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity and respect.
Chairman of the Council, Agyeman Badu Akosa, also addressed the inductees, highlighting the critical role they play in the healthcare system. He called on them to place patient welfare at the centre of their work and to uphold the highest regard for human life.
He stressed that their primary duty is to deliver quality care while promoting and protecting the health of individuals and the wider public.
